I decided to paint an old monster sketch I have here, so this is what I've done until now:

Destination: Nirvana

Hey o/

Today I'm starting my Journey to Nirvana (not the Buddhist one). A new change in life (Yeah, again, I know, I already say that a lot of times, but this time I'm taking it seriously, and I already started acting for it.)

About the name, Let a part of my CA Sketchbook intro talk for me:
"Destination: Nirvana is how I decided to call my journey to be a better artist and person,  cause I have a lot of personal problems  with energy, discipline, focus and other  things that are in my way to be a better artist, and I'm working on these things step by step.
 So it's not just about art - it's about myself as a whole. I think the name is perfect FOR it, cause from what I understand, in Buddhism "nirvana" is not a place, but a state of mind."

I'll talk more about it later, but I can say that some of the major goals are:

*Be a better artist (It's not a new thing, it's the purpose of this blog since the beggining)
*Learn English
*Become a full engagement person (I'm following the tips of the books of Nuno Cobra and Tony Schwartz)
*And more, but first I need to put my mind in the right place, organize and write down things.

Friday creatures

From the morning

Somethings I drew today in the morning when I was in the car waiting for my grandmother.

The tree on the top is done from imagination and the another one on the botton from life.

Also some quickly faces (an old lady eating on the walkside while she was wainting for someone) and a little composition study.

Wip wip wip

Instead of finishing the last painting I posted before, I decided to paint this one, the pencils are here.

I can say I'm learning a lot and I'm not sure if I'll finish this one too(I should, because usually I don't finish my paintings and this is a big mistake)...but again: I'm learning a lot. the kind of thing I wasn't learning before when I was just studying and forgetting to draw things just for myself, just for the fun of draw.

First try

I'm trying to paint following the technique that Bobby Chiu teachs on this video tutorial:

Yeah, I failed (ok, it's not finished yet, but anyway...) but I think it's okay for the first try, If I'm failing it's because I'm trying and learning, right? And I have too much to learn yet about the fundamentals, so... I'll keep improving =)

 I didn't draw or painted anything today, I woke up too late and since that I'm trying to put my ideas on the right place in my mind, and I'm reading a lot of articles as well.
Just to don't break the daily basis posts, here's a very interesting video of Tony Schwartz.

Happy New Junior

Well, well, well
Now I have someone helping me with my jorney to improve my english skills, and I'm thinking with myself: Should I call she "teacher"? hmmm, Yeah, of course I'll, but I need to keep in mind how mad she is, a really mad person, most crazy kind of people I know, but I like her anyway. =P

 Well, here're a little of the stuff I've been doing in the last days, I know I broke with my idea of update my blog everyday, but a lot of things happened in the last weeks, and I can't say all them were good things. But past is past and I need to look forward, being the person I want to be, cause with a new year I'll become a new man.
 A lot of crap in there, but I'm happy, cause in each of these crap paitings, I learned something and that's a good thing.
 Some from head, others from photos and so on, Oh, I started practing mass drawing, starting without lines, directly with colors or greystones, and I need to tell that's so funny.
